Lewis Hamilton F1 interview ends after just 37 SECONDS as Ferrari pressure grows

Lewis Hamilton’s post-race interview was abruptly cut short on Sunday, lasting just 37 seconds, as scrutiny continues to mount over his challenging start to life at Ferrari.

The seven-time Formula 1 World Champion, now 40, has had a turbulent debut season with the Scuderia. Following the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Hamilton offered little insight after another underwhelming race, visibly frustrated and short on words.

Hamilton qualified seventh on the grid in Jeddah—behind both his teammate Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, the very driver he replaced at Ferrari. While Leclerc capitalized on his fourth-place start to secure a podium finish, Hamilton failed to improve his position and ended the race in P7.

Adapting to the SF-25 after 12 years with Mercedes has proven more difficult than expected. Despite urging fans earlier in the season to temper expectations as he settled into the new environment, Hamilton’s continued struggles have drawn increasing concern—especially given the successes of other drivers in similar circumstances.

Rookie Ollie Bearman scored points while briefly deputizing in a Ferrari earlier this season, and teenage sensation Kimi Antonelli has already impressed in Hamilton’s former Mercedes seat. Meanwhile, Hamilton finds himself battling in the midfield and unable to unlock the pace that seems evident in the car.

Asked post-race if he ever felt comfortable during the race, Hamilton responded candidly:

“No, there wasn’t one second. Clearly the car is capable of being P3, so Charles did a great job today… I can’t blame it on that.”

When pressed further to explain why he was unable to match his teammate’s performance, Hamilton simply replied:

“No.”

With that, the interview concluded after just 37 seconds.

As Ferrari continues to search for answers and results, the pressure on Hamilton is growing—not just from the paddock and fans, but seemingly from within.
